Microscale chemistry has opened various avenues for quality education and has motivated the imaginative power, responsiveness and skills of students towards environmental protection. This book elucidates the importance of safety procedures in chemistry laboratory along with the introduction of the special equipment used in microscale experiments, as well as its use in conducting chemical synthesis. The book has been designed in such a manner that it will serve the purpose of laboratory notebook which is required by the students to note down details during daily conduct of experiments.

Mayura A Kale BPharm, MPharm, PhD
Satish Y Gabhe BPharm, MPharm, PhD is currently Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bharti Vidyapeeth’s College of Pharmacy, Pune. Before joining this institute, he has been associated with CU Shah College of Pharmacy, SNDT University, Mumbai. He has a vast teaching and research experience of around 36 years. He was postdoctoral research fellow in Chemistry Department, University of Washington, Seattle, USA, for two years. He has guided postgraduate and PhD students for the past several years and has been regularly invited as a resource person in various conferences and training programs. Analytical, phytochemical and synthetic medicinal chemistry are his areas of research. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He has been bestowed upon with several awards including Best Teacher Award instituted by PAMDAL in 1993.
