About the Author

Mayura A Kale BPharm, MPharm, PhD
is currently Associate Professor, Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad. She has been actively engaged in teaching organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for the last 19 years. She has delivered several guest lectures in colleges and teachers’ training programs. Her area of research is focused on molecular modeling and synthetic medicinal chemistry of novel bioactive heterocyclic compounds. She has published more than 40 national and international research papers in peer-reviewed journals, published two patents, and has won two best oral research paper awards in national conferences. She is an approved research guide for PhD program from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, and SRTM University, Nanded. She has guided more than 25 MPharm students and is presently guiding 4 PhD students with one student awarded PhD under her guidance.

Satish Y Gabhe BPharm, MPharm, PhD is currently Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bharti Vidyapeeth’s College of Pharmacy, Pune. Before joining this institute, he has been associated with CU Shah College of Pharmacy, SNDT University, Mumbai. He has a vast teaching and research experience of around 36 years. He was postdoctoral research fellow in Chemistry Department, University of Washington, Seattle, USA, for two years. He has guided postgraduate and PhD students for the past several years and has been regularly invited as a resource person in various conferences and training programs. Analytical, phytochemical and synthetic medicinal chemistry are his areas of research. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He has been bestowed upon with several awards including Best Teacher Award instituted by PAMDAL in 1993.
