About the Author

Kabir Sardana MD, DNB, MNAMS He is an alumnus of MAMC (1991–96) and completed his MD from Lady Hardinge Medical College in 2000. He is a DNB holder and a member of the National Academy Medical Sciences. He has been Secretary and Vice President, IADVL, Delhi branch, and Secretary, Society of Pediatric Dermatology, Delhi. He is the author of more than 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications cited on Pubmed, and author/editor of a number of books, listed on Google books and Amazon some of which are Diagnosis and Management of Skin Diseases: An Evidence-Based Approach, Comprehensive Textbook of Dermatology, Lasers in Dermatological Practice, Clinical Approach to Pigmentary Disorders, Clinical Approach to Acne Vulgaris, Clinical Approach to Fungal Infections, Handbook of Eczema for Practitioners, Fungal Infections: Diagnosis and Treatment, Systemic Drugs in Dermatology and Textbook of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases with HIV Infections. His clinical research interests focus on acne vulgaris, dermatophytes, psoriasis, alopecia areata, pigmentary disorders, lasers in dermatological practice, hyperandrogenism and pediatric dermatology.

Ananta Khurana MD, DNB, MNAMS is currently Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology and STD, PGIMER and Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi. She did her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College in 2007, MD from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, in 2010, and DNB (Dermatology) degree in 2011. Earlier, she was Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatric Dermatology, Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, Delhi. She is an assistant editor with the Indian Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS and has to her credit publications in national and international journals and chapters in various books. She was awarded for academic contribution to IADVL’s ACAD e-group during Dermacon, Kolkata, 2017. She has presented papers at the American Academy of Dermatology annual conference and annual conference of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, apart from presentations/talks at the state and national level.

Supriya Mahajan MD is a senior consultant Dermatologist at Kailash Hospital, Greater Noida. She did her MBBS and MD from LHMC, Delhi. After finishing her senior residency from the LHMC, SSKH and Kalavati Saran Hospital, she worked in numerous hospitals including Metro Hospital, Sec11, Noida, Metro Anand Hospital and Kailash Hospital, Greater Noida, the last of which she has been the founding dermatologist since its inception. She has published one book in dermatology titled Evidence Based Management of Skin Disorders and has multiple publications to her credit. She has a keen interest in homeopathy and alternative medicine as a tool to treat disorders and is an avid environmentalist and a proponent of chemical free cultivation.
