The Nematodes are highly diversified and have wide range of habitats and food preferences. The role of Plant and Soil Nematodes in Agriculture has helped Nematology to emerge as independent discipline of Agricultural and Biological Sciences. The History of Nematology in India starts from a Survey report of root-knot Nematodes by Barber (1901). The developmentof Nematology in India was quiet rapid because a huge wealth of information has been gathered from 1959 onwards. The main objective of the present book has been to collect in one place all the possible references of research papers and to provide classified information under separate chapter in this Bibliography of Nematology of India. The book provides about 4300 research papers published from about 40 centres of India. It was also felt necessary not only to list the references but also to make the assessment of the work that has already been done in this country. Brief comments have also been made on gains as well as gaps in research so that the future worke rs are better informed and may plan their research priorities and strategies with confidence.
