The ultimate objective of technical education is to develop relevant skills creativity and competence among the students to enable them to perform the tasks effectively and efficiently later in the world of work. The practical work comprises tasks which require some manipulation of apparatus or some action. To achieve the above objective and to reduce the writing workload to some extent for the students the present practical notebook was conceived and designed. This Practical Notebook contains 44 experiments with illustrations and graphs and gives complete details of the experimental data to make the practical more meaningful to the students. Blank pages have been given for the students to write observations and draw conclusions. Tables have been given at the end giving data and information for the use of the students. The left-hand side page facing every exercise has been left blank for calculation labelling and recording other information. The students can use blank pages at the end for writing additional experiments guided by their teachers depending on the availability of reagents and infrastructure of the concerned laboratory.
