    About the Author

    S.J. Nalini, MSc (N), PhD, RN,

    a Professor and Principal at Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Nursing, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed University), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is an alumnus of College of Nursing, Madras Medical College, specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing. She is a passionate teacher, able administrator, and researcher with 28 years of experience in nursing. She has 140 paper presentations and 48 publications to her credit. She received the Bursary Travel Award from Palliative Care Congress, Glasgow, in 2016. The Nursing Education Unit of SRIHER under her leadership received the Best Teaching Team Excellence Award in 2021. Currently, she is working on an ICMR-funded research project on effect of probiotics on women with gestational diabetes. She is an Editorial board member of Journal of Advanced Nursing and Journal of Clinical Nursing, UK. She serves as an executive committee member of St. Johns Ambulance Association, Tamil Nadu State Center.

    Sujitha Elavally, MSc (N), PhD, PDF, RN, RM,

    Assistant Professor, Government College of Nursing, Thrissur, Kerala, is a dedicated teacher with 15 years of postgraduate and undergraduate teaching experience at renowned universities inside and outside the state. She completed BSc Nursing from Government College of Nursing, Kozhikode, Kerala. Her postgraduation in Medical- Surgical Nursing and PhD were from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. She did her Post-Doctoral Fellow of Nursing from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, in 2017, with a scholarship jointly sponsored by Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) and International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN). She is a FAIMER fellow, graduated in 2018. She has excellent research records with indexed and impact factor publications in national and international journals to her credit. She has worked with cross-country research teams and has presented papers on international forums. She is an approved PhD guide at Kerala University of Health Sciences, India.
