    About the Author

    Kabir Sardana MD, DNB, MNAMS is currently Professor, Department of Dermatology, Dr RML Hospital and PGIMER, New Delhi. He was previously a Professor at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, from 2006–2016. He is an alumnus of MAMC (1991–96) and completed his MD from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, in 2000. He is a DNB holder and a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He has been Secretary and Vice President, IADVL, Delhi branch, and Secretary, Society of Pediatric Dermatology, Delhi. He is the author of more than 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications cited on Pubmed, and author/editor of a number of books, listed on Google books and Amazon, some of which are Diagnosis and Management of Skin Diseases: An Evidence-Based Approach, Comprehensive Textbook of Dermatology, Lasers in Dermatological Practice, Clinical Approach to Pigmentary Disorders, Clinical Approach to Acne Vulgaris, Clinical Approach to Fungal Infections, Fungal Infections: Diagnosis and Treatment, Hair loss: Disorders, Restoration and Management and Systemic Drugs in Dermatology. His clinical research interests focus on acne vulgaris, dermatophytes, psoriasis, alopecia areata, pigmentary disorders, lasers in dermatological practice, hyperandrogenism and pediatric dermatology.



    Ananta Khurana MD, DNB, MNAMS is currently Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, Dr RML Hospital and PGIMER, New Delhi. She did her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, in 2007, MD from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, in 2010, and DNB (Dermatology) in 2011. Earlier, she was Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatric Dermatology, Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, Delhi. She is an assistant editor with Indian Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS and has to her credit publications in national and international journals and chapters in various books. She has presented papers at the annual conferences of American Academy of Dermatology and European

    Shilpa Garg DNB is consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. She was formerly Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Army College of Medical Sciences, Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. She is assistant editor of book 'Moisturizers', and has authored 20 published research and 20 chapters. She is 'assistant editor” and on 'Editorial Board' of Pigment International Journal. She was awarded International Society of Dermatology Mentorship in Aesthetic Dermatology and Lasers and has done Fellowship in lasers from AIIMS and IADVL Fellowship in dermatosurgery from AIIMS. She is recipient of Best Paper in Award Session at International Society for Dermatologic Surgery and at DERMACON 2007 and has received “International Travel Grant Award” by Women's Dermatologic Society

    Shital Poojary MD, DNB is Professor and Head, Department of Dermatology, KJ Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai. She is a member of ITART (IADVL taskforce against recalcitrant tinea) and Coordinator SIG pigmentary disorders. She has spearheaded several research projects on recalcitrant dermatophytosis. Apart from dermatophytosis, her special interests include pigmentary disorders, genodermatoses and dermatopathology
    She is a recipient of several national and international awards and scholarships. She has 38 national and international publications to her credit.
