|About the Author||
Chhidda Singh is a gold medalist from the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, where he did his BSc (Hons) Ag & AH in 1963. He was awarded special fellowship and assistantship at the University of Illinois,USA, for his postgraduate studies.He obtained his MS (Agronomy) and doctorate from the University of Illinois,USA, in 1965 and 1968 respectively.Dr.Singh started his career in 1969 as Assistant Professor in Agronomy at the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology and retired as Professor of Agronomy (Extension).
Prem Singh did his graduation, postgraduation and doctorate from Agra University, Agra (UP). He secured first position in BSc (Ag) in the university and awarded bronze medal. He is also gold medalist for securing the first position in MSc (Ag) Agronomy in the University. He has visited many countries like Federal Republic of Germany,Denmark,Spain,Nepal,etc.and participated in various international training programmes. Dr Singh has published and presented several research papers and articles in reputed journals and periodicals.He has more than 35 years of research experience in the field of agriculture and fond of working in collaboration with the farmers. Presently, he is working as Incharge Head (Cropping System and Resource Management) and Principal Scientist (Agronomy) in ICAR—Indian Institute of Farming System Research,Modipuram,Meerut,UP.
Rajbir Singh has over 24 years experience in research, extension, coordination and management and presently working as Director, Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone I, Ludhiana, since 2015. Under his leadership, the ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana, achieved new heights in technology application, frontline extension and capacity development and got ISO 9001:2008 accreditations and made its valuable presence as a technology application institute. Dr Singh has published more than 100 research papers published in referred journals (Citation in Google scholar: 2243; H-Index: 22, i10 Index 43) besides several technical bulletins, popular articles, books, etc. Dr Singh has visited many countries (Brazil, Germany, Israel, Nepal, Poland, Thailand and USA) for participation in various symposia and in many advance laboratories for research work.He has been bestowed with many prestigious awards like Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Award of ICAR during 2016, Fellow of Indian Society of Agronomy (ISA) during 2014, Fellow of Horticultural Society of India (HSI) during 2016 .
