This book has an interesting format, clearly directed for the benefit of the medical students preparing for their examinations. The chapters have been arranged in the order of priority and practical utility, a theme which deviates from the classical format followed in standard Neurology text books, beginning with the higher mental functions and going on to cranial nerves, motor system and so on. Important areas are covered in simple language with crisp descriptions. While relevant parts of anatomy and physiology have been covered in each chapter, the focus has been on symptoms, signs and their interpretation. High yielding facts and answers to frequently asked questions will be of great benefit to students who are preparing for their practical examination and viva voce. The chapter on radiological signs is particularly interesting as it depicts many of the known signs together in one place, something that is not commonly available.
