PHARMACEUTICS I Based on Syllabus Prescribed by PCI Course Regulations, 1991 aims to serve as a complete textbook for first year students of diploma in pharmacy course. The main objective of the book is to explain the fundamentals of pharmaceutics in the simplest possible language and easy to understand manner. It keeps the balance between the basic essentials and advanced areas of knowledge, apart from the usual topics.
It is a thoughtful compilation as a backbone of pharmaceutics. The efforts have been made mainly to focus on the primary aspects for the first year students of pharmacy undergoing diploma course as per PCI Course Regulations, 1991. Gaurav Agarwal MPharm, PhD is currently Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, RP Indraprastha Institute of Technology (RP Educational Trust), Karnal. To his credit are numerous projects and publications. He is the author of well-known books Pharmaceutical Technology I, Pharmaceutical Technology II and Drug Regulatory Affairs, all published by CBSPD. He has worked on taste-masking techniques at F&D Department of IPCA Labs, Mumbai. He has an excellent track record in academic institutions of high repute like IFTM, Moradabad, and SGIT, Ghaziabad, and is actively engaged in teaching, research, administration and service to pharmacy profession.
