    About the Author

    John Ebnezar MBBS, D’Ortho, DNB (Ortho), MNAMS (Ortho), PhD (Yoga), Sports Med (Australia), IOA-INOR Fellow (UK), DAc, DMT is a “Padma Shri” and “Dr BC Roy National Awardee” and a prolific writer in orthopedics. He holds two world records — the Guinness World Record in Book Writing (2010) and World Record (2012) of writing 103 books in a single calendar year, a feat unmatched by anyone in the world. He has to his credit over 200 books in orthopedics. He is an outstanding academician, researcher with two best research awards, editor, publisher (7 books), contributor, eminent teacher, excellent orator, founder of new professional bodies like geriatric orthopedic society of India and orthopedic authors’ club, and has his own orthopedic academy for promoting orthopedics.This book, like all his other books, carries the flavour of simple and lucid writing, excellent language, beautiful illustrations and excellent presentation of the topics.

     

    Rakesh John MBBS, MS(PGI), DNB, MRCS (Eng), Dip. SICOT, MNAMS has completed his senior residency from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He completed his MS (Orthopedics) in 2014 from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and has cleared DNB and MRCS (England) examinations. He has several publications to his credit and his dissertation research on the role of gene polymorphisms in ACL tear in the Indian population has found acceptance in international journals. He has completed the Asian Association of Dynamic Osteosynthesis (AADO) fellowship in trauma and has made presentations in several international and national forums. He is coauthor of Ebnezar’s Textbook of Orthopedics 5/e and Essentials of Orthopedics for Physiotherapists 3/e. He has published several papers in international journals and made presentations at various international, national and state level conferences and CME programs.
