This book has been specifically written for the undergraduate students of Medicine and Microbiology to provide them with a condensed overview of Virology. The book comprises of 16 chapters. Each chapter covers a specific virus or a group of viruses which are related. Each virus is discussed from the point of clinical illness, pathogenicity, morphology, antigenicity, laboratory diagnosis, immunity, prophylaxis and control measures. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on each chapter are included in the appendix for the self assessment of the students. A bibliography has been provided for further study by the students to supplement their treatment of a given topic.
