    The first edition was produced to help the students understand the style and the method of answering SBA questions as hitherto there was a dearth of standard model question paper books. It contains the relevant clinical principles and knowledge required to answer SBA questions and detailed explanations for the answers. The first edition had unprecedented large sales and the author was invited to write the second edition after two years. The second edition has 103 more questions and 3 more chapters.     About the Author

    Eranthi Samarakoon MBBS,MS (Sri Lanka),FRCOG (UK)

    is a Senior Lecturer and a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Peradeniya University and the Teaching Hospital, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She obtained Second Class Honours at the Final MBBS examination and came First in the Order of Merit in the MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Sri Lanka) Part 1 and Part 2 examinations. She completed the final year of her postgraduate training at St. Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, and got through the MRCOG (UK) examination at the first attempt. She was Board Certified as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Sri Lanka in 1983 and has been in active clinical practice since then. This book is based on over three decades of her experience in teaching medical students for the Final MBBS examination and postgraduate students for the MD and MRCOG examinations. She is an examiner for the Final MBBS examination in all nine universities in Sri Lanka and for the MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology examinaton. She has published five books in obstetrics and gynaecology for undergraduate and postgraduate students. These have been well accepted with tremendous sales. This is the second edition of her first book and is a greatly improved version of the first edition.
