    About the Author

    F. C. Garg Professor of Microbiology at CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar has been teaching microbiology to graduate as well as postgraduate students since 1974. Professor Garg joined as Assistant Professor at College of Agriculture H.P. Krishi Vishvavidiyalaya Palampur (H.P.) and he shifted to CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar in 1978. He was on deputation with Government of India Ministry of Agriculture as Regional Director Regional Biofertiliser Development Center from 1987 to 1991. He was instrumental in the establishment of biofertiliser development center at Hisar. As Regional Director Or. Garg organised several trainings and exhibitions on the use and importance of biofertilisers in addition to setting the production unit. Or. Garg specialises in Biological Nitrogen Fixation General Microbiology and Food Microbiology. He was Principal Scientist of a project sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. He has published a large number of research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has long experience in teaching research as well as in extension.
