| About the Author | Rajgopal Shenoy K. is a Consultant Surgeon, Kasturba Medical College Hospital, and Professor of Surgery at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He has been on the Faculty of Surgery at KMC, Manipal, since 1986. He stresses on the basics and at the same time, takes effort to teach the students evidence-based medicine. He has been an invited faculty on many CMEs. An acclaimed and a popular teacher, he has received 'Good Teacher' award in the institution four times. He has about 10,000 digital photographs compiled over a period of 21 years, which he uses for clinical teaching. These photographs include common, uncommon and rare cases. Dr. Shenoy has been a brilliant undergraduate and postgraduate student with ranks and distinction. He is vibrant and innovative and has a multifaceted personality. A born-leader and loved by his students, colleagues and friends, it is hard to find him alone. He is a constant feature in all the college academic and cultural activities.
Anitha Nileshwar is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Intensive Care, Chief of Respiratory Therapy and Additional Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. In addition to contributing chapters on intensive care in this book, she has also edited the entire text. |
