    About the Author

    Sharmila Ahuja is ex-Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, UCMS and Gurutegh Bahadur Hospital, Delhi. She received postgraduate training in anaesthesia at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, leading to MD Anaesthesia; and later at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK, leading to Diploma in Anaesthesia from Royal College of Surgeons, London. She joined as faculty at University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), Delhi, with a stint as Professor in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care for fourteen years and total teaching experience of more than 25 years. She was WHO Fellow in paediatric anaesthesia at The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, UK. She has worked as Senior Specialist, Division of Anaesthesia, at RIPAS Hospital, Bander Seri Begawan, Sultanate of Brunei. Abhijit Bhattacharya is ex-Professor and Head, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, UCMS and Gurutegh Bahadur Hospital, Delhi, and Advisor, Delhi State Cancer Institute, Delhi.
