About the Author | Sudha Vidyasagar MD is currently Head,Department of Medicine, Voluntary Health Services Hospital, Chennai, and former Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. She has been associated with Manipal Medical Manual since its inception. In fact, the book began as a collection of chapters that she wrote while conducting bedside classes for postgraduate students at KMC, Manipal. The small compilation of emergency management took shape and became a concise volume, which quickly became a popular manual. Her dedication to teaching has persisted throughout her career, and several students spread across many parts of the world will attest to this fact.
