    About the Author

    Dr. R K Zargar took up anatomy as career in 1969. His passion for teaching never dwindled as he climbed the rungs. He taught in his alma mater Pt. JNM Medical College Raipur before joining AFMC Pune in 1975. He retired on 31 Dec. 2005 having spent 30 years at AFMC. During his long association with AFMC, he brought in many changes in the teaching-learning of anatomy. This was in the wake of compression of 1st MBBS. This book on embryology is one of such efforts ably supported by his student and colleague Major (retd.) Nilima Jam. Dr. Zargar has academic and co-curricular achievements matching his compassion towards his students. Presently, he is associated with Sinhgad Technical Education Society s Medical campus in Pune. Dr. Nilima Dinesh Jam graduated from Seth G S Medical College, Mumbai in 1992 and acquired MS (Anatomy) from AFMC Pune in 1999. She served the Indian Army as a short service commissioned officer. During her stay at AFMC, Pune she took up project on cytogenetics. She attended CMEs, workshops and conferences regularly. She produced a self-learning module for 1st MBBS students for understanding the Development of Cardiovascular System in Human by using 2-D and 3-D animation. She has worked very deligently in preparation of this book on embryology.
