About the Author	SK Haldar MBBS, Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health (Calcutta University) is former Deputy Director General, Directorate General Factories Advice and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India (1997-2020). He has also worked as Deputy Principal Medical Officer at Hindustan Cables Ltd, West Bengal (1986-1997). He received his training in Occupational Safety and Health Management System at OSHA, Chicago, USA. Dr Haldar has over 25 years of experience of teaching the following courses: Associate Fellow of Industrial Health (AFIH), Advance Diploma in Occupational Safety & Certificate Course for Supervisors in Hazardous Industries under the Factories Act, 1948. He has conducted training programmes, workshops, seminars and symposia on occupational health and safety, and presented technical papers on occupational health at several national and international conferences. He has represented India in a conference conducted by United Nation on asbestosis in Bangkok. He is well experienced in conducting occupational health audit, study and survey. His other book Industrial and Occupational Health was published by CBS Publishers & Distributors in 2017.
