    About the Author

    G.S. Pandit formerly Senior Professor of Structural Engineering at Malaviya Regional Engineering College Jaipur earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Alberta Canada. He has vast teaching experience and has authored over 100 research papers and 150 other publications in leading technical journals. He is the co-author of a book Structural Analysis-a matrix approach and a monograph on Torsion in Concrete Structures written with the financial support of University Grants Commission. Dr. Pandit received the Malaviya Regional Engineering College award for outstanding research and was a co-winner of the Certificate of merit for his paper in the Journal of the Institution of Engineers (India) several years he served on the Committee 438 (Torsion) of the American Concrete Institute for coordination and liaison of research activities in India. S.P. Gupta Reader in the Department of Structural Engineering at Malaviya Regional Engineering College Jaipur obtained his B. E. and M.Sc. degrees from Delhi University and Ph.D. from the University of Rajasthan. He has teaching experience of over 25 years. Dr. Gupta is the author of over twenty five research papers and is the co-author of a book structural Analysis-a matrix approach a monograph on Torsion in Concrete Structures and Civil Engineering through Objective Type questions.
