She graduated from Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing, Melmaruvathur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and received the best outgoing student award. She completed MSc (N) in Community Health Nursing from Rani Meyyammai College of Nursing, Annamalai University and received gold medal in the year 2007. She has 15 years of teaching experience.
