About the Author	SC Mandal MVSc,PhD is currently Professor, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences,West Bengal University of Animal Fishery Sciences, Kolkata. Earlier, he held different administrative posts like Dean (Actg) and Head, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, at this Faculty; and was incharge, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Durg, Chhatisgarh. He obtained BVSc & AH and MVSc from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, WB, and PhD from Indian Veterinary Research Institute,Bareilly. Dr Mandal has worked in six national level high-profile research projects in different capacities and received 11 accession numbers from Gene Bank after submitting gene sequences of parasites. At present, he is engaged in research work of molecular parasitology. He is author of several popular books: Veterinary Helminthology, Question Bank of Veterinary Parasitology, Sure Success in Veterinary Parasitology and Encyclopedic Glimpses of Veterinary Parasitic Diseases.He has contributed a chapter in a popular book Pathology of Infectious Disease of Domestic Animals (IBDC, now an imprint of CBSPD).
