| About the Author | Harish C Rai PhD (Electrical Engg, IIT Delhi), FIE (India), FIETE, MISTE, MAESI is currently Pro Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, and is also supervising and streamlining the work of examinations. He was Controller of Examination (COE), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Besides being COE, he was holding the additional charge of Director, Academic Affairs, Research and Project Monitoring Cell and Organization & Development. While being COE, during 2006-2009, he joined All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), on deputation, New Delhi, as Advisor 1. He has completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi, and PhD (electrical engineering) from IIT Delhi, in 1991. He has received first prize from MHRD-AICTE for writing a technical book in Hindi Industrial and Power Electronics.
